Aerial Tourism

Sunday, 24 June 2007
Both hang-gliding and increasingly fashionable paragliding can be practised in Poland. Some regions offer perfect conditions to enthusiasts of these forms of flying. The favourite location for the amateurs of hang-and paragliding, are the wide valleys of the Sudety Mountains, which are often filled with numerous ascending air-currents. Good conditions are also found in the Bieszczady Mountains.

You can go gliding in Poland, too. If you hold a gliding license, you can enjoy this sport using the facilities of air clubs in all major Polish cities. They also organise gliding courses for beginners. One of the major gliding centres in Poland is located in Leszno. The gliding centre in Grudziqdz offers a rich choice of aerial services for tourists.

Hot-air ballooning is also a very exciting experience. Such services are offered by sea coast centres and some hotels in the Mazurian Lake District.
